[Ask Emma] How To Prevent Spots

One of the main questions that I get all the time is “How can I prevent spots and acne?” and today I want to attempt to answer that.  This week alone I got more than 35 emails asking the same question so I am sorry if I didn’t manage to get back to everyone individually.

How To Prevent Spots & Acne

When it comes to preventing spots there is only a long term option and no short term fix I’m afraid.  I know that this isn’t what most people want to here but the simple fact is, if you want to prevent spots and acne, you need to develop and find a solution that suits you.

You can read about how to get rid of spots quick if you are suffering from one or two of them but for someone who is suffering from persistent spots you need to go for a long term treatment.

Finding a treatment that will prevent further outbreaks of spots is something that has to be done over the period of around 6 weeks to really see any effect.  Most of you know that I have my own solution for spots and acne but you will need to find one that suits you.  Why not try out our new Spot Treatment Reviews site to see if there is something there that might suit your needs?

So if you want to prevent spots and acne from arriving in the first place, you must find a solution that suits you and your skin.  Once you have that in place, you’ll find that you get less and less outbreaks and will eventually be able to prevent them from arriving in the first place.

  2. Hi Emma, Im a 15 year old guy and i am really struggling with spots, ive been getting them forabout 3 years but they only got bad a year ago. I get loads around my mouth and under my nose, not only thatbut ive now got really bad ones to the side of my nose. I wash my face 2 times a day and use something called azaron which i think dries them up. I wanted your opinion on ‘ponds cold cream’ i heard it is really good. Any help with ways to cope would be much appreciated.
